This year’s MDA Women’s Ride will not be an escorted ride. Police officials in Daytona have advised us that they are unavailable. This will make it difficult for the entire group to safely ride together. Therefore, the ride will be launched in a staggered series of smaller groups, with a ride lead, maps and instructions. All traffic laws must be adhered to by ride participants. You will receive your map and instructions at registration, when you turn in your signed waiver.
As a reminder, this year’s ride will launch from the Harley-Davidson display at the Daytona International Speedway (not Beach Street). Registration opens at 8:00 A.M. All Women Riders will enter through Gate 70. There will be a brief opening ceremony and a safety review at 9:30, and then we will begin releasing groups of riders at 10:00. Ride participants will rendezvous at the outdoor stage at Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson in Destination for a celebration around 11:30 A.M., or when the final group of riders arrives.
Karen Davidson Will Participate in the 2014 MDA Daytona Bike Week
Karen Davidson has a strong natural instinct about the mystique of Harley-Davidson from a lifetime of living the Harley-Davidson experience. Karen is the great-granddaughter of the company’s co-founder, William A. Davidson, and has been riding motorcycles since she was nine years old. We are thrilled to have Karen supporting MDA and riding amongst the Women Riders at Daytona.
