I'm pumped up about the MDA Muscle Walk.
Welcome to my Muscle Walk Personal Fundraising page!
As many of you know, I have been diagnosed with the hereditary form of Inclusion Body Myopathy, a muscular disease. Unfortunately, as is the case with more than 40 muscle-damaging diseases, there is no cure nor effective treatment.
On February 24, the MDA San Diego 2013 Muscle Walk will be held at Crown Point Park in Mission Bay. My two sons, Michael and Garrett, as well as many of their friends, will be participating in the walk. The MDA Muscle Walk is the largest event funding research and services for people with muscle-damaging diseases. My sons are walking because they want to raise money to help MDA provide local services such as expert medical care at MDA clinics, MDA summer camp for youngsters, financial assistance and research seeking treatments and cures.
Any amount will help. I know there are many different walk events out there, but my sons and their friends chose the MDA Muscle Walk because MDA provides more comprehensive services to families with muscle diseases than any other organization.
I hope to be able to add your name to my list of contributors.
Thanks for helping to make a difference.
