Team Chel Bug

Team Chel Bug is for Chelsea Carriere and I would love to tell you our story. I met Chelsea about 8 years ago at MDA summer camp. Chelsea likes to say that she "broke me in" that year. She will be the first to tell you that she didn't think I would be returning the following year. After all, she made me her tub chair! If that doesn't say I'll do anything for you, I don't know what will. Her enthusiasm excited me more than a child on Christmas morning. She wanted to do and be a part of EVERYTHING at camp. She talked me into trying to get a worm on her hook to fish. I was not successful and we had to ask one of the guys for help. On carnival night she asked to get in bouncy house, and although it took several of us to accomplish this task, it was worth more than I have words for. To hear her tiny giggle as we bounced her brings tears to my eyes.  We bonded like sisters that year and have become close friends since then. I am so proud of her for overcoming the many daily obstacles she encounters.
