I'm pumped up about the MDA Muscle Walk.

Welcome to my Muscle Walk Personal Fundraising page!

Cayla was diagnosed when she was 4 with a disease called CMT.  CMT usually isn?t life-threatening and almost never affects brain function. It is not contagious, but it is hereditary and can be passed down from one generation to the next.  CMT is one of 40 diseases covered by the MDA, but unlike muscular dystrophy, in which the defect is in the muscles, CMT is a disorder in which the defect is in the nerves that control the muscles. Cayla is mildly effected by the disease and has a great attitude about accepting her limitations.  She also understands that she has to do her best to stay active so that her muscles stay strong.  We, as a family, like to participate in the Muscle walk because it helps to earn money so that many children affected by CMT as well as many other muscular disabilities can go to camp.  Cayla has attended camp for the past 6 years and LOVES spending time with everyone year after year.  Please take this opportunity to help me meet my goal so that many other children are afforded the opportunity that may not otherwise be available to them!

Thank you!
