Houston...We Have MG
We DO have MG...now, what does that mean?
Myasthenia Gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disease. This disease occurs when the immune system attacks the body’s own tissues, ultimatly interrupting the connection between nerve and muscle. As named in the 1800's, the name means "grave muscular weakness," and yet today, treatments are more readily available which allow us to continuing living life! These treatments are in part due to research funded by the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Our Houston Myasthenia Gravis Support Group is ready to fight!
Help us to raise awareness of MG. Walk with us in April or support us by donating to our team! All funds will go towards continued research and support for those living with MG, in the greater Houston area.
