Welcome to my Muscle Walk Personal Fundraising page!
I am walking to honor my younger brother Ray (Butch) Palmer. I have seen first hand what a cruel disease ALS is. It robs individuals of thier independence and quality of life. There is no cure for ALS all we can do is hope and pray that there will be in the near future so that no one else will have to suffer.
Raymond (Butch) Palmer
At 22 years of age, Butch served in the Army for 3 years and spent 10 months in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge with a bronze star, he served in the Kansas National Guard culminating in 28 years of total service in Field Artillery. His careers, over the years were spent in home repair and renovation and the US Post Office, from where he retired in 2008. Butch has a wife, Judy, of 47 years, 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Ray enjoyed good health until July, 2012, when he was diagnosed with ALS.
