In August of 2012, our oldest son Joe, at age 5, was diagnosed with Duchenne/Becker Muscular Dystrophy. We were shocked and saddened to hear the official confirmation from the doctors, but we knew it only meant a different life journey for Joe and our family than what we had expected. We are still the same family, we are surrounded by love, we have many friends and family who support us and we know everything will be okay. We have remained positive and are taking one day at a time as we continue to hope and pray for a treatment or cure.
The MDA has been a wonderful support for us and we would love to give back to this amazing organization to help other families in need. This is a great cause and we would so appreciate any and all support you are able to give. Thank you in advance from all the familes affected by a Neuromuscular Disease!
