I'm raising money to help kids and adults break free from the harmful effects of muscle debilitating diseases – will you help me?
My knees hurt as I write this. I might whine. But this is one day and I expect it to change tomorrow.
For those with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related disease they give up some level of everyday freedoms like walking, running, hugging and even breathing every day. That's why I'm participating in this ride to support MDA. MDA helps fund ground-breaking research across diseases, provides critical care from the first day of diagnosis and empowers families with services and support in hometowns across America.
Mason and Jordan are my heroes, and my great-nephews. They live each day overcoming obstacles that dwarf my trivial knee pain today. I have witnessed the joy of them returning from MDA camp. I have also witnessed the amazing work that their families go through simply to get them to that camp. It is these simple joys in their lives that I hope will be easier to endure for them through your generous donations.
I could go on about many other families, especially the Morehouse family. They live a full life, much of which centers on helping others through the MDA. Let's make their life a bit easier.
Please join me by making a donation! With your support, we'll move toward a future in which kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases live longer and grow stronger.
