Michelob Ultra Boston 13.1 Marathon

Team David

Help Us End Muscle Disease.

We are running the 2014 Michelob Ultra Half Marathon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in honor of our brother David, who was diagnosed with Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy (FSHD) when he was ten years old.

David loved to participate in sports, play with his friends and enjoy the outdoors. As his disease progressed, David’s muscles deteriorated, making it impossible for him to engage in the activities he once loved. Undaunted, David didn't let his disease define him. He doesn’t see his FSHD as a burden he has to bear but rather, an obstacle he must overcome; a reason to always strive to do better—in school, in work, in relationships and in life. David is unstoppable, and a true inspiration.

The money we raise will go toward continued research in the hope that one day a cure will be found; and toward provision grants for equipment, such as powered wheelchairs.

Please join us in running or donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

We are running for David and for all those whose ability to walk or run has been taken by MD.

"You don't have to save the world, you just have to do the best you can with what you've got, and never look back."
