As many of you know, my oldest brother, Bear, suffered from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He was the happiest, cutest, most perfect person in the entire world. His pure innocence and love for the little things in life was contagious. He made you realize what truly matters in life and he changed the lives of everyone around him. I thank god everyday for being chosen to be Bear's little sister. He is my whole heart and has made me everything that I am today. After a strong battle, Bear passed away at the age of 25. We miss him every single day, but his love and memory stays with us with every passing day & everything that we do.
in honor of Bear, I am running with "MDA Team Momentum" for the Philly Half Marathon in September. MDA stands for Muscular Dystrophy Association. MDA funds groundbreaking research to accelerate treatments and cures, as well as provide care and support for families affected by neuromuscular diseases. The Philly MDA Team and I are running to raise money for MDA. This amazing group of people on this team (many of whom I volunteer with at the Muscular Dystrophy Summer camp every summer), and I are hoping to raise over $26,000 dollars total between all the team members efforts!
My personal goal is to raise $1,500 dollars. If anyone would be willing to donate to the cause, no matter big or small, I would truly be so grateful!!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart in advance. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me!
