My nephew Archer is now 7 years old and is a fantastic young man, the boy certainly knows how to light up a room with his humor, observations about life and sunny smile and if you want a straight answer to do with anythig he is the man to go to. "The Prince" nickname suited his personality, however, some of the "charming" characteristics also got his parents asking questions and ultimately he was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which is why you are receiving this mail and I am training again to put myself through 13.1 miles on race day and countless more miles in the coming weeks. After lasts year huge success where the team raised over $70,000, this year we hope to exceed this so the great work on developing a cure can be achieved sonner rather than later for so many.
Please dig deep as all donations, small or large will be welcomed and with your generosity I hope to smash my target, both fundraising and on March 17th
As a member of MDA Team Momentum, I’m dedicating my miles, muscles and personal finish line to helping kids and adults living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases live longer and grow stronger.
Every step I take while training for and racing in the half marathon/marathon will help MDA fund groundbreaking research to accelerate treatments and cures and provide care and support for families who are counting on us.
This is where you come in. Your donation will help save and improve the lives of individuals with muscular dystrophy and the families who love them. Thanks in part to MDA Team Momentum participants and donors, MDA anticipates more new treatments in development during the next five years than in the previous five decades combined. Let’s keep and build this momentum. Please consider making a donation to support me in my upcoming race today. Thank you in advance for your support!
