After having such a great experience running the Chicago Marthon two years ago, I've decided to participate once more this October. I will again be running for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and dedicating my miles to helping those living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases live longer and grow stronger.
Through MDA, I've met many inspiring people who either personally suffer from the disease or know someone who had/does, and it is these personal connections which have left me with a sense of responsibility to raise both funds and awareness. Donations to MDA help save and improve the lives of individuals with muscular dystrophy and the families who love them.
When training gets tough I simply picture the rows of people living with muscular dystrophy, who line the streets on race day and cheer us on. I'll never forget that feeling, and it's why I run for those who can't.
Any donation to my fundraising helps is so appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support!
