Meghann Is Raising Funds to Fuel the Fight for Muscle Health

Welcome and thank you for visiting!

I'm training to complete a half marathon on September 14, and I'm making my miles count, running for those who cannot. My husband and I were first introduced to muscle disease by way of our youngest daughter Emma. After extensive testing at Boston Children's Hospital, Emma was cleared and her current diagnosis is simply low muscle tone. While Emma still receives extensive physical therapy, her situation is nothing compared to those living with muscle disease. Please help us in supporting the families who deal daily with MD. With every step I take, I'm advancing MDA's mission to assist families with health care services and day-to-day support, fund research breakthroughs worldwide, and fight back against dozens of life-threatening muscle diseases. Here are a few examples of your donation at work:

•$65 One minute of MDA-supported research

•$150 One Occupational, physical, respiratory or speech therapy consultation

•$300 for diagnostic testing

•$500 for repairs of medical equipment like much needed wheel chairs

•$800 covers a week at MDA summer camp for one child

Currently there is no cure for muscle disease, but with your help, we can provide progress. I ask you to please join me in running the 13.1 miles or leave the leg work to me and make a donation. Give a child hope and a week at camp to enjoy barrier-free fun and independence. Give a parent help navigating the process for their child by funding support groups that provide real-world tools for managing complicated diseases. Together, we'll move toward a future in which muscle health, not muscle disease, prevails.
