Raising Funds to Fuel the Fight for Muscle Health
Mary Ellen Lewis
Welcome to My Personal Page
I know you receive many requests and you don’t have time, so I will make it brief: I need your help to help others! More specifically, patients suffering from muscular dystrophy.
To support those patients, mainly young men, Ewen and I will run the Boston Half-Marathon in September and the Chicago marathon in October. We are very excited – and very grateful – that we are able to attend these races.
To be even more impactful, we would need your support too and would ask you to kindly donate few dollars via the link below.
We commit on our side that we will train hard, run, sweat and enjoy ourselves for every dollar you donate!
With warm greetings, Micha
If you are interesting in reading more:
What is muscular dystrophy? Muscular dystrophy is a group of genetic diseases in which muscle fibers are unusually susceptible to damage. These damaged muscles become progressively weaker. Most people who have muscular dystrophy will eventually need to use a wheelchair. A few weeks ago, we had opportunity to meet two great young men suffering from muscular dystrophy since their very early childhood and being wonderful ambassadors for MDA.
I am very lucky, I can run, breathe, dance and go wherever I like. One of the young men had the best time ever when being in the MDA summer camp which offers many activities adapted to their health condition. This doesn’t happen by chance – important funding is needed to allow a kid to attend such a summer camp. Please help me giving more kids this opportunity – every dollar counts!
On the MDA site you will find many details about the organization, about muscular diseases and much more! Go and visit you will be amazed what these people do.
A very warm thank you for your support!
