Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
As a member of MDA Team Momentum, I’m dedicating my miles, muscles and personal finish line to helping kids and adults living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases live longer and grow stronger.
This year marks my 9th year as an MDA Summer Camp counselor and my 5th race with MDA Team Momentum. I run because it's something I love, and Team Momentum allows me to use this love to help strengthen the futures of those I love with muscle disease. Every step I take while training for and racing in the Chicago Spring half marathon will help MDA fund groundbreaking research to accelerate treatments and cures and provide care and support for families navigating life with muscle disease.
While I face my own physical challenges from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, it is a privilege to honor my summer campers through Team Momentum races. Running for Team Momentum has allowed me to tackle distances (like multiple half-marathons, 2 marathon starts and 1 amazing marathon finish) I once thought a far-fetched dream. My bones and joints might not always be strong, but my muscles are and I will continue using them to propel us into creating a stronger future for those with muscle disease.
This is where you come in. Your donation will help save and improve the lives of individuals with muscular dystrophy and the families who love them. Thanks in part to MDA Team Momentum participants and donors, MDA anticipates more new treatments in development during the next five years than in the previous five decades combined. Let’s keep and build this momentum. Please consider making a donation to support me in my upcoming race today. Thank you in advance for your support!
