Join me in supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association's mission to fight muscle disease. Together, we are progress!
As a member of MDA Team Momentum, I am progress. As one of my goals in 2014, I'm training to complete a half-marathon. Completing this event will mark my 5th half-marathon! This year however I'm making my miles count, bringing help and hope to more Americans living with muscle disease by not just training to run, but also raising funds to support MDA. I've been fortunate to call MDA my home for over 11 years. Over the years I have been blessed to have met countless individuals and families who fight against a devastating muscle disease with grace and courage. They inspire me. They teach me. They motivate me.
With every step I take, I'm advancing MDA's mission to assist families with health care services and day-to-day support, fund research breakthroughs worldwide, and fight back against dozens of life-threatening muscle diseases.
Please join me! Sponsor my effort with a donation - I put the first $50 in, now I need you to help match my donation, or make a donation in whatever level of support you can. And be sure to find out if your employer offers a matching gift program; it could make your gift go twice as far. Leave the legwork to me, and together we'll move toward a future in which muscle health, not muscle disease, prevails.

Time to Run!
Tomorrow morning is it! Thank you to all my recent donors - Roxan, Jaime, Scott, Kim, Danielle - so grateful that you contributed to MDA! Thank you to the many family and friends who have sent me well wishes today. I really appreciate them, more than you know! You'll be my constant motivation tomorrow and my inspiration as you are every day. As much as I can be, I'm ready to run this town!
5 Days to Go!
5 more days until I lace up the shoes and run through Boston! I have visited Boston before but never done a race in Boston. I'm looking forward to experiencing the city through this event and having some new scenery to look at while I run. I am so thankful to all of you who have donated, and checked in on my running along the way. Your well wishes and notes of support mean so much! Thanks for being so inspiring and reminding me what really matters - friends and family like you!
Training soon to begin!
June 14th marks the official start of the training with my coach for the Boston 13.1. Some pre-season runs in our summer weather has been nice. Time to get really moving though. 102 days until Boston!
First race of 2014 in the books - getting ready for Boston!
Along with one of my greatest friends, Natalie, and I hit the streets of Minneapolis over the weekend to run the Get Lucky 7K race in honor of St. Patrick's Day. It was great to get an outdoor run in (finally!) and helped me get excited for Boston in just under 6 months!
And, I'd be remiss to miss thanking my recent donors - thank you to Sarah & Nick, Tiff & Luke and my awesome teammate and co-worker, Alison! You guys made my week!
Overwhelmed! Thank you!
My heart swells with the support of long-time friends, mentors and family! Thank you Susie, Teresa, Trendy and Aunt Sara - you all have impacted my life in so many ways and I'm grateful for your support!
Friends & Family Rock!
Thank you to my dear friend Natalie and her family for your support! And, to the best in-laws a girl could have - thanks so much Tom & Tish! You all are awesome!
Yeah for Auntie Rae & Uncle Randie!
Thanks to my AZ family for matching my personal donation and giving me motivation to put some "umph" in my training!
